Can sexually transmitted infections affect fertility?

Sexually transmitted infections also called sexually transmitted diseases are the diseases that are generally required by the sexual contact, this is generally caused by bacteria viruses are parasites that are are the common cause of sexually transmitted disease which may pass from person to person in by blood, semen ,sperm, vaginal fluid or any other body fluids. Sometimes sexually transmitted infections can be transmitted non sexually like from the mother to the infant during pregnancy for or during childbirth, other transmissions are through blood transfusion or sharing infected needles. 

Symptoms:-

How to prevent spread of STI:-

  • Using protective devices and other latex barriers while sexual intercourse.
  • Using water based lubricant during sexual intercourse
  • Going for regular sexual health checkups to the doctor
  • There should be proper information of any sexually transmitted infection to you and your partner
  • Keep proper hygiene after intercourse
  • Get tested for HIV
  • Get yourself tested for stds regularly
  • Avoids sharing used razors, towels, undergarments
  • Keep in mind certain sign and symptoms of STD
